Question:

156 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Justice the number of cases for summary hearing in 1987, 1988 and 1989.

The number of criminal cases disposed of by summary hearing (including indictable cases tried summarily) in the years specified by the Deputy are set out hereunder. The statistics concerned are compiled on the basis of the legal year from 1 August to 31 July.
