180 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if a cereal quota, which was the subject of a letter to him on 10 August 1992, will be allocated to a person (details supplied) in County Tipperary; if special consideration will be given having regard to this person's circumstances; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
The question of allocation of individual quotas for arable producers does not arise in the current sowing year due to the fact that a national rather than individual base areas will be in operation.
The rules in relation to individual base areas have yet to be drawn up by the EC Commission, and in the circumstances it is not possible to make decisions on individual cases at this stage.
