Vol. 423 No. 4

Written Answers. - Land Disposal.

Eamon Gilmore

Question:

91 Mr. Gilmore asked the Minister for Finance if he will agree to dispose of the Chantilly stud farm lands, which are located east of the Shankill by-pass, to Dublin County Council for amenity land values, as Dublin County Council wishes to use the land for open space purposes and the county council, in the review of the development plan, has rezoned these lands for open space/amenity use.

The portion of the Chantilly Stud Farm lands to the east of the Shankill by-pass was offered for sale to Dublin County Council. When the council withdrew from negotiations the lands were offered for sale on the open market in accordance with Government policy on the disposal of surplus State property.
