Question:

127 Mr. Ryan asked the Minister for Education when he intends to fill the vacancy for a local community representative on the board of management of Trinity House, Lusk, County Dublin.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 126 and 127 together.

Obertstown boys school commenced operation in September 1991 on a limited basis and has just recently reached its full operating level. Arrangements are currently being made to appoint a board of management to the school and it is expected that the board will be in place shortly. It is intended that the board will include a local community representative.

The vacancy on the board of Trinity House arose with the resignation of the local community representative in September of this year. Consideration is currently being given to the selection of a replacement board member from nominations put forward by local community representatives.
