134 Dr. Fitzpatrick asked the Minister for Tourism, Transport and Communications if she or the Government have any plans for the privatisation, now or in the future, of Telecom Éireann; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

I would refer the Deputy to my response to a similar question from Deputy Yates on 9 June 1992 (Official Report, Volume 420, No. 9, column 121, refers).

There has been no change in the position since then.
