Vol. 423 No. 4

Written Answers. - Voluntary Euthanasia.

Bernard Allen

Question:

139 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to a recent report by a person (details supplied) that Irish doctors have most likely aided patients in voluntary euthanasia; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I have no information in relation to practices by Irish doctors as mentioned by the Deputy in his question. Such practices would be completely unacceptable within the Irish health service.
