140 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health if he will make a statement on a report (details supplied) that radical new proposals are being considered by his Department whereby medical students will be required to pay general hospitals for tuition and training.

These are among a number of proposals being considered by my Department which will be conducting an examination in early 1993 of the cost associated with medical education and training in the health services.
