Vol. 423 No. 4

Written Answers. - Disabled Person's Maintenance Allowance.

Eric J. Byrne

Question:

149 Mr. Byrne asked the Minister for Health the reason for the delay in deciding an appeal for disabled person's maintenance allowance for a person (details supplied) in Dublin 12 who is suffering from Hold Oram Syndrome as a result of which he is not eligible for unemployment assistance; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Payment of disabled person's maintenance allowance in any individual case is a matter for the health board concerned. Accordingly, the Deputy's question has been referred to the chief executive officer, Eastern Health Board with a request that he reply directly to the Deputy as a matter of urgency.
