161 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for the Environment if he has received a submission from Tipperary South Riding County Council concerning an application for funding in order to provide a full treatment works for the Ardfinnan Water Supply Scheme; if he will approve this application; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

A preliminary report for this scheme is under examination in my Department. Having regard to the existing level of commitments under the water and sanitary services programme, I am not in a position to indicate when a decision may be made.
