56 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Justice when the new Garda Station will be provided in Cahir, County Tipperary; if he will outline the position of this project on his list of priorities; the sum of money which will be spent on the project; if the work will commence in 1992; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

It is proposed to provide a new Garda station at Cahir by refurbishing and extending an old ESB building in the town. This project is being treated as one of top priority and it is expected that a contract will be placed before the end of the year. Until then it will not be possible to say how much will be spent on the project.
