Written Answers. - Mayo Water and Sewerage Schemes.

Question:

85 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for the Environment when he expects to be in a position to approve a contract in respect of the Ballinrobe Sewerage Scheme in County Mayo; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The tender recommendation submitted by Mayo County Council for this scheme is under consideration in my Department. Having regard to the existing level of commitments under the water and sanitary services programme, I am not in a position to indicate when a decision on the scheme may be made.

86 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for the Environment when he expects to award a contract in respect of the Bangor Erris Sewerage Scheme in County Mayo; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Tender recommendations submitted by Mayo County Council are under consideration in my Department. Having regard to the existing level of commitments under the water and sanitary services programme, I am not in a position to indicate when a decision on the scheme may be made.

87 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for the Environment the position regarding an extension of the Erris Regional Water Scheme in County Mayo from Bangor Erris to Glenamoy; and when he expects tenders to be awarded.

A tender recommendation from Mayo County Council in respect of the civil works contracts for this scheme is awaited in my Department.

88 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for the Environment the present position regarding the contract for the Ballyvary Sewerage Scheme; and when he expects to provide moneys in order that work can commence.

A tender recommendation submitted by Mayo County Council for the treatment works contract is under consideration in my Department. Having regard to the existing level of commitments under the water and sanitary services programme, I am not in a position to indicate when a decision on the scheme may be made.

89 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for the Environment when he expects to approve contract documents submitted for approval on 13 April 1987, in respect of stage two, contract number three, for the Lough Mask Regional Water Supply Scheme, Kilmaine to Shrule, County Mayo; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Contract documents for this stage of the Lough Mask Regional Water Supply Scheme are under consideration in my Department. Having regard to the existing level of commitments under the water and sanitary services programme, I am not in a position to indicate when a decision on the scheme may be made.

90 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for the Environment when he expects to approve the contracts for sub-soil investigation in respect of stage two, contract number two, for the extension of the Westport Regional Water Supply Scheme to Louisburgh, County Mayo which was submitted on 7 October 1992; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Contract documents in respect of the site investigations contract for the Westport Regional Water Supply Scheme, Stage 2, are under consideration in my Department. Having regard to the existing level of commitments under the water and sanitary services programme, I am not in a position to indicate when a decision on the scheme may be made.

91 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for the Environment when contract documents will be approved in respect of stage two, contract number four, of the Lough Mask Regional Water Supply Scheme in Kilmaine, County Mayo involving the relocation of a water tower; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Contract documents for this scheme are under consideration in my Department. The submission of a certificate, confirming that all necessary preliminary arrangements for the planning of the scheme have been finalised, is awaited from Mayo County Council.
