Having regard to the existing high level of commitments under the water and sanitary services programme, I am not in a position to indicate when there may be a decision on this scheme.

Question:164 Mr. Kenny asked the Minister for the Environment when he expects to approve the preliminary report in respect of the Achill Island water supply scheme in County Mayo for construction of a new arterial main to Bunnacurry which documentation was forwarded to his office on 14 August 1992.
A revised preliminary report for this scheme is under examination in my Department. Having regard to the level of commitments under the water and sanitary services programme, I am not in a position to indicate when a decision on the scheme may be made.
