206 Dr. McDaid asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will give details, in relation to Oakpark, County Carlow for the years 1989, 1990 and 1991 of the total number of research staff employed; the total amount in salaries paid to research staff; the total amount in travel expenses paid to research staff; the total cost of travel abroad by research staff; the number of research staff travelling abroad each year; and the number of scientific papers published in major international scientific publications, naming each such publication.

207 Dr. McDaid asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will give details in relation to the cost of operating Teagasc headquarters at Sandymount Avenue, Dublin 4, for the years 1989 to 1991 of all the salaries paid, all travel costs, canteen costs, overtime paid and any temporary staff cost involved; the total cost of headquarters; any other expenditure under any other heading; and if he will give details of the total cost of headquarters of an Foras Talúntais in each of the years 1985 and 1986.

208 Dr. McDaid asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if he will give details, in relation to Johnstown Castle for the years 1989, 1990 and 1991, of the total cost of all operations; the expenditure on all items apart from salaries; and if all such expenditure has been approved by the board of Teagasc and by him.

209 Dr. McDaid asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if, for each of the years 1989, 1990 and 1991, he will give details of the expenditure on emoluments and expenses to the director of Teagasc, the programme directors of Teagasc; the cost and type of motor cars supplied to senior management; the expenditure on travel abroad by the directors, and members of staff at headquarters in Sandymount Avenue, Dublin 4; and the total number of days spent on such travel abroad by officials in these categories.
