112 Mr. Connor asked the Minister for Education if he will provide funding for a home economics unit, a science laboratory and computer facilities at the new secondary community school at Castlerea, County Roscommon, which is currently under construction; and if these facilities will be included in the outstanding funding for the completion of construction on the school.
The new Community School at Castlerea currently under construction is being developed by means of an extension to the existing Convent Secondary School.
Provision has been made for Home Economics and Science facilities in the existing buildings together with the provision of a new Science Laboratory in the new building.
Computer education is catered for within the overall area of classroom accommodation and separate facilities are not provided.
