Question:21 Mr. O'Shea asked the Minister for Health when he will make funds available for the provision of new health centres in Waterford city and in Tramore, County Waterford; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Written Answers. - Waterford Health Centres.
The provision of a new health centre and Community Care Headquarters in Waterford is the first priority of the South Eastern Health Board Community Care Programme and consideration will be given to the building of the project in the context of the 1993 estimates.
The provision of health centre in Tramore is one of a number of developments proposed by the South-Eastern Health Board in the development of Community Care. The prioritising and funding of this programme will be considered in the context of the funds which become available to the Department and the health board over the next few years.
