Vol. 424 No. 1

Written Answers. - Bone Graft Operations.

Mervyn Taylor

Question:

61 Mr. Taylor asked the Minister for Health if his attention has been drawn to the fact that there are inordinate delays in the Adelaide Hospital, Dublin in carrying out bone graft operations and that because of shortage of funds very few such operations are being carried out notwithstanding a lengthy list; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Bone graft operations are normally associated with trauma and, due to their urgent and serious nature, are usually carried out immediately. I have been informed by the Adelaide Hospital that there is nobody on a waiting list for this procedure at present.
