170 Mrs. Fennell asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the number of women on the boards of agencies and companies under his control at the end of 1991; the plans, if any, he has to increase the number in 1992; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
The number of women on the boards of agencies and companies under my control at the end of 1991 was five. The number at present is seven, including one woman whose term of office expired during 1991 and who was reappointed early this year. No vacancies will arise on any of the boards during the remainder of 1992.
