I propose to take Questions Nos. 31, 37, 68 and 94 together.

All teacher trainees in the Colleges of Education attend courses which are University-accredited. The structure and nature of these courses must be in accord with Government policy. However the contents of these courses, while broadly similar in nature, vary in detail from College to College and are essentially a matter for the individual Colleges and accreditation authorities. Tuition given to trainee teachers on dyslexia or specific reading disability is encompassed in general courses on reading problems, disabilities and remediation in the Colleges of Education and the number of hours devoted to individual topics in such courses is not separately identified.
