Vol. 424 No. 5

Written Answers. - Dublin Dental Hospital.

Brendan Howlin

Question:

125 Mr. Howlin asked the Minister for Health the plans, if any, he has for the Dublin Dental Hospital; if, in particular, he intends to provide for its refurbishment on its present site or if the intention is that the necessary resources will be made available to the Dublin Dental Hospital to relocate to the St. James's Hospital complex; the specific proposals and timescale, if any, he has in the light of the fire officer's advice that the present building must be vacated within five years unless a major upgrading of the fire safety facilities takes place; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Capital funding for the dental hospitals is provided through the Department of Education Vote.

I am in touch with my colleague the Minister for Education regarding the Dublin Dental Hospital.
