Vol. 424 No. 5

Written Answers. - Cork Treatment Plant.

Peter Barry

Question:

156 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for the Environment if he will provide funds to upgrade Cork City Waterworks Treatment Plant, estimated to cost £2.2 million; and if he will support the project by contributing a 25 per cent grant for the work.

Consultants appointed by Cork Corporation are developing proposals for the Lee Road Waterworks improvement scheme. The scheme is at the preliminary planning stage, and the question of funding does not arise at present.
