Question:

167 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for the Environment the moneys, if any, he has allocated to voluntary housing groups in South County Tipperary; if he will give details of such groups; the number of houses provided; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Grants totalling £1.350 million under the voluntary housing scheme have been approved to Tipperary (S.R.) County Council, which is responsible for administering the scheme in the area, towards the provision of 72 units of accommodation by the following approved bodies: Vamphill Community, Grange-mockler; Carrick-on-Suir Social Services Voluntary Housing Association; Tipperary Workshop for the Handicapped, Tipperary Town; and County Tipperary Association for Mentally Handicapped, Clonmel.
