Question:

180 Mr. Ferris asked the Minister for the Environment if he has received proposals from Tipperary Urban District Council for the Tipperary town new reservoir scheme, Tipperary town replacement sewerage scheme, James Street, Tipperary and Tipperary Town extension to treatment works; when these schemes will be approved to go to tender; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Contract documents for Phase 2 of the Tipperary Town Water Supply Scheme, which includes the provision of a new reservoir, are with my Department. A proposal for a sewerage scheme at James Street has also been received. Having regard to the existing level of commitments under the water and sanitary services programme. I am not in a position to indicate when a decision on these two schemes may be made.
