183 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for the Environment if he will make funding available to complete stage III of the Skibbereen Water Supply Scheme, County Cork.

Having regard to the existing level of commitments under the water and sanitary services programme, I am not in a position to indicate when a decision on this scheme may be made.

Question:

185 Mr. Cullimore asked the Minister for the Environment the present position regarding Wexford's main drainage scheme; and the cost of the works completed on this to date.

An environmental impact statement in respect of the treatment plant for this scheme has been prepared by Wexford Corporation and is currently being assessed in my Department. Without prejudice to this assessment, an advance section of the sewer network contract has been completed at an estimated cost of £733,000 and tenders for other parts of the sewer network are under consideration in my Department.
