Question:

192 Mr. Garland asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food the amount of agricultural produce which is now in intervention storage; the types of produce in storage; and the cost to the State of such storage.

The position in relation to intervention stocks in Ireland at 30 September 1992 was as follows:

The net cost to the Department in 1991 of financing the Common Agricultural Policy as set out in Subheads L. 4 and N. 21 of the 1991 Appropriation Account for Vote 32 was £5.7 million.
