Vol. 424 No. 5

Written Answers. - EC Structural Funds.

Peter Barry

Question:

50 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for Finance his views on the projected £127.82 million cost for the supporting infrastructure and environmental measures associated with Cork Corporation's submission for post-1993 structural funding; if he will assist in its implementation by way of grants; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

As I indicated in my reply on 13 October, 1992, Official Report, Vol. 423, Cols. 893 and 894, I have not yet received the submission for EC Structural Funding post-1993 from the South-West Regional Review Committee.

I understand that this submission is now being finalised. I expect that it will be submitted very shortly. When the submission is received I will be referring the proposals for examination to the appropriate Ministers.
