Vol. 424 No. 5

Written Answers. - Longwood Garda Station.

Roger T. Garland

Question:

71 Mr. Garland asked the Minister for Justice the long term plans for Longwood Garda Station which is falling into disrepair and is now open for only one hour on Tuesdays.

It is proposed to carry out works at Longwood Garda station including painting, decoration and replacement of windows. It is not possible at this stage to say when work will commence — this will depend on overall priorities and available finance — but I can assure the Deputy that there will be no avoidable delay.

It is not anticipated that there will be any change in the status of the Garda station at Longwood for the foreseeable future.
