91 Mr. Howlin asked the Minister for Education if his attention has been drawn to an application for improvement works and an extension, ongoing since 1983, for a school (details supplied) in County Wexford; when final approval for these works will be issued; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

Sketch plans for the proposed extension to Raheen national school have been completed by my Department, and have been transmitted to the school authorities to enable them to seek planning permission. As the project is at an early stage of the planning process, it is not possible to say when work will commence.
