Question:98 Mr. Belton asked the Minister for Education if he will have the school transport service from the Darragh area in County Longford reinstated.
Written Answers. - School Transport.
The service, as it operated up to the end of the summer term, 1992, cannot be reinstated by my Department because of insufficient numbers.
As is normal in such situations, grant-aid towards the cost of private transport arrangements is provided. My Department are currently in contact with the children's parents on this matter.
