The planning section of my Department regularly reviews the first and second level accommodation requirements of areas, such as the greater Cork area, particularly in the light of requests from schools for the provision of additional or replacement accommodation.
Such reviews would include examination of the most up-to-date statistics available on demographic trends, housing developments, school enrolments etc.
