112 Mr. Quinn asked the Minister for Justice if he will confirm that a person (details supplied) in Dublin 6 was issued with a Green Book on his arrival in Ireland in September, 1980 that this Green Book was stolen in a robbery and that a new one was issued in 1989; if so, if he will confirm that this person has been resident in this country since September, 1980; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

I am informed by the Garda authorities that the person in question was issued with a certificate of registration (green book) in September, 1980. Following the reported loss of the certificate a new certificate of registration was issued in June, 1989. I am not in a position to confirm that the person in question has been resident in the State since September, 1980.
