Question:121 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Justice the number of pirated or pornographic videos seized by the Gardaí in each of the years 1988, 1989, 1991 and to date in 1992.

I am informed by the Garda authorities that provisional indications so far this year are that in excess of 100,000 pirated video tapes and in excess of 5,000 pornographic tapes have been seized by the Garda Síochána. The information sought by the Deputy in respect of previous years is not readily available.
