153 Mr. Yates asked the Minister for Agriculture and Food if a new development plan beyond 1993 has been prepared for An Bord Glas; and if he has satisfied himself that the Bord have achieved the objectives set out in the current development plan.
The current Development Programmes of An Bord Glas extend to the end of 1993 and the Board will prepare a further programme to cover the period beyond 1993 in the course of the coming year. The current Development Programmes aim at a combined market share recovery and export expansion of £60m and the creation of 1,800 full-time and 1,500 part-time jobs. Considerable progress has already been made and the outlook for horticulture continues to be positive.
Between the years 1988 and 1991 output increased by £33.5 million.
