Vol. 424 No. 10

Ceisteanna — Questions. Written Answers. - PDFORRA Representatives.

Gerry O'Sullivan

Question:

2 Mr. G. O'Sullivan asked the Minister for Defence the reason the general staff have consistently refused to meet representatives of PDFORRA, under the conditions and in the attire laid down in the agreed arrangements.

The Assistant Chief of Staff, on behalf of the military authorities, attends regular meetings with the Permanent Defence Force Other Ranks Representative Association (PDFORRA). At those meetings the Association's officials are free to wear civilian attire if they so wish as laid down in agreed arrangements.
