167 Mr. Sargent asked the Minister for Justice when she proposes to bring into Irish law the standards of the UN Convention on the Status of Refugees of 1951 and the Protocol of 1967 which has already been ratified by Ireland.

I could not undertake by way of response to a parliamentary question to disclose what legislative proposals I might have in a particular area. Any such proposals will be brought before the Government and will be announced in the ordinary course.
