Vol. 425 No. 7

Written Answers. - Dumping of Wrecked Vehicles.

Tony Gregory

Question:

168 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for Justice if the Gardaí will refrain from dumping wrecked vehicles alongside the footpath at Fitzgibbon Court, Dublin 1, as residents feel it is reducing their public area to a scrap yard.

I am informed by the Garda authorities that, occasionally, stolen vehicles which have been recovered are parked at the location in question for very short periods pending their collection by owners. This only occurs when parking spaces inside the station are fully utilised. There is no question of vehicles being dumped by Gardaí at this or any other location.
