Question:171 Mr. Creed asked the Minister for Justice the reason for the delay in the registration of a property with the Land Registry office in Dublin for a person (details supplied) in County Cork.
Written Answers. - Registration of Title.
I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that the delay in processing this application was due to the fact that it was in respect of the first registration of unregistered land, the title to which is based substantially on adverse possession. Acceptance of the title and the issue of notices to the interested persons had to await the lodgment of a supplementary affidavit claiming and establishing the adverse possession of the land. That affidavit was received in the Land Registry in August 1992 and the notices were issued in October 1992. In the absence of any objection to the application, the finalisation of the registration was proceeded with and it was completed on 1 February 1993. The applicant's solicitor has been so informed.

Question:172 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Justice when an application for first registration will be completed for a person (details supplied) in County Cork by the Land Registry.
I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that the details supplied by the Deputy refer to two related applications for First Registration, lodged in the Land Registry on 11 June 1992. I am further informed that queries were issued by the Land Registry on 5 January 1993 to the applicant's solicitors and that these applications cannot be processed further until the queries have been satisfactorily discharged.

Question:173 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Justice when transfer orders sent to the Land Registry by Cork Corporation on 6 October 1992 on behalf of a person (details supplied) in County Cork will be registered and sent back to Cork Corporation.
I am informed by the Registrar of Titles that registration of the Transfer Order in question was completed on 28 January 1993 and that Cork Corporation were notified accordingly.
