John Bruton

Question:

191 Mr. J. Bruton asked the Minister for Justice if Delegation of Function Orders have been made or will be made in respect of the Ministers of State at her Department; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

I propose to take Questions Nos. 182 and 191 together.

The Government has, at my request, made an order entitled Justice (Delegation of Ministerial Functions) Order, 1993 — S.I. No. 36 of 1993 — delegating specified statutory powers and duties to Mr. William O'Dea, T.D., Minister of State at the Department of Justice. Copies of the Order are being placed in the Library.
