Vol. 425 No. 7

Written Answers. - County Cork Road Project.

Peter Barry

Question:

260 Mr. Barry asked the Minister for the Environment if he will give details of the work done to date on the Mulcon Valley Road from Rochestown to Carrigaline; the cost to date; when the road will be completed so as to enable the linkup between the South ring road and the Ferry Port/Ringaskiddy Industrial Estate to be finalised; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The works done include all the fencing and about 20 per cent of the first earthworks contract. The cost of these works to date is in the region of £1.5 million out of a total estimated project cost of £6.5 million. It is expected that the road will be completed, on schedule, by late 1994.
