437 Mr. Allen asked the Minister for Health if he will make a statement on recent reports in the Irish Medical News that the Medical Council is to make an application to his Department for a £30.00 increase in the retention fee, this representing a 40 per cent increase.

I have not received an application from the Medical Council for an increase in the retention fee.
