Question:

111 Mr. Durkan asked the Minister for Finance the number and names of persons, other than those in the permanent Civil Service, who have been appointed to positions in his Department or other agencies within the ambit of his Department, including offices of Ministers of State, since the formation of the Government; if he will give details in each case of their job description and conditions of employment, terms of employment, their rank and salary or allowances; and if he will make a statement on the matter.

The following people have been appointed to positions in my Department or to agencies within the ambit of my Department since the formation of the Government. All have been assigned to the Minister of State at the Department of Finance and the Office of the Tánaiste.

Ms. Sally Clarke has been appointed as Personal Secretary at a salary of £16,304 per annum plus an allowance of £802.

Ms. Patricia Hickey has been appointed as Personal Assistant at a salary of £10,277 per annum.

Mr. Dick Feeney and Mr. Kevin Kearney have been appointed as civilian drivers at a salary of £12,555 each per annum.

In each case, their terms and conditions of employment are in accordance with standard contracts issued by my Department.
