Vol. 426 No. 1

Written Answers. - Lucan (Dublin) Accident Black Spot.

Austin Currie

Question:

90 Mr. Currie asked the Minister for Justice the number of accidents which have occurred at the junction of the slipway and the bridge at the Lucan exit from the Lucan by-pass, County Dublin; if this figure along with the number of near accidents at this spot shows that it has become an accident black spot; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

I am informed by the Garda authorities that 11 traffic accidents have been recorded at the Lucan by-pass Celbridge exit slip road in the past four years. It is a matter for the local authority concerned as to whether a location should be designated as an accident black spot.
