Vol. 426 No. 1

Written Answers. - County Tipperary Crime.

Noel Davern

Question:

91 Mr. Davern asked the Minister for Justice if she will make a statement on the recent increase in crime in the Lisronagh and Fethard areas of County Tipperary; the action, if any, she has taken to date on the matter; and if any of the stolen items have been recovered.

I am informed by the Garda authorities that the information sought by the Deputy is not readily available. I have, however, asked the Garda authorities for a report in the matter and I will communicate with the Deputy as soon as I receive it.

Theresa Ahearn

Question:

92 Mrs. T. Ahearn asked the Minister for Justice if she will give details of the reported crime level of each of the Garda stations in Cashel, Clonmel, Cahir, Carrick-on-Suir and Tipperary town in County Tipperary during 1992; the way in which this compares with 1991; and if she will make a statement on the matter.

I am informed by the Garda authorities that official figures for recorded indictable crime in 1992 are not yet available.
