Vol. 426 No. 2

Written Answers. - Local Authority Residential Accommodation.

Chris Flood

Question:

99 Mr. Flood asked the Minister for the Environment the number and location of units of residential accommodation to be started in the South Dublin County Council area in 1993 by State-supported housing associations.

It is not possible to say how many such dwellings will be started this year since voluntary housing bodies may bring forward proposals at any stage under the Rental Subsidy and Capital Assistance Schemes. The administration of these schemes is a matter for the local authority. The most recent information available in my Department indicates that, so far this year, two units of accommodation will be provided in Clondalkin under the Capital Assistance Scheme.
