Vol. 427 No. 7

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Frank Crowley

Question:

106 Mr. Crowley asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a beef premium grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Cork.

This person was paid her grants under the 1992 special beef premium scheme in early March 1993. Her December 1992 application for grants under this scheme will be processed in due course.

Michael Finucane

Question:

107 Mr. Finucane asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry when a farm development grant will be paid to a person (details supplied) in County Limerick.

Payment of this grant is delayed due to the temporary assignment of clerical staff from the Farm Development Service Office in Limerick to livestock schemes to assist with the significant additional work arising under the Common Agricultural Policy reform measures.

In the light of the extra money provided in the budget to augment resources available to this Department to deal, inter alia, with the new schemes, I have now made arrangements for the return of the temporarily withdrawn staff to all Farm Development Service Offices with effect from Monday, 15 March, 1993. This should allow grant payments to be dealt with in the normal way.

Michael Finucane
