129 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Defence the number of personnel and support facilities for the Army's bomb disposal units; if he has satisfied himself that these units are adequately maintained to address any matters that may arise; and if he will make a statement on the matter.
Explosive ordnance disposal teams are available on a 24-hour basis at a number of locations throughout the State. I am satisfied that these teams are in a position to deal with any requests for assistance that may arise.
It is not the practice to disclose details of the strength and equipment of any particular unit of the Defence Forces.
