Question:49 Mr. Gregory asked the Minister for the Environment the time scale for the next revision of Dáil constituency boundaries.

An Electoral Bill is being prepared to provide, among other things, for the establishment on a statutory basis of a commission to prepare proposals for the revision of Dáil constituencies. On enactment of the Bill, a commission will be set up to prepare proposals in relation to the Dáil constituencies having regard to the census taken in 1991.
