35 Mr. Callely asked the Minister for Justice if she has received submissions on or if she is considering the setting up of a statutory gaming board with a licensing function for the purpose of controlling gaming and amusement arcades.
My Department has from time to time received submissions regarding the amendment of the Gaming and Lotteries Acts which among other proposals advocated the establishment of a statutory gaming board.
However, I have no proposals at present to approach the Government with a view to changing the law to provide for the establishment of a gaming board.
