Vol. 429 No. 5

Written Answers. - Grant Payments.

Jim O'Keeffe

Question:

46 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason for the delay in payment of cattle headage to a person (details supplied) in County Cork; and if he will confirm that arrangements are being made for payment.

The application of the person named for grants under the 1992 cattle and equines headage scheme is being processed at present and payment will be made shortly. The delay in making this payment was due to a clerical error which has now been rectified.

The person named did not apply for grants under the 1992 suckler cow and special beef premium schemes.

Question:

47 Mr. J. O'Keeffe asked the Minister for Agriculture, Food and Forestry the reason for the delay in payment of a beef premium to a person (details supplied) in County Cork; and if he will confirm that arrangements are being made for payment.

The application of the person named for grants under the 1992 special beef premium scheme was rejected when subjected to a validation check by computer. The error is being dealt with at present and, when it is resolved, the application will be processed further and if found in order payment will be made.
