Question:

104 Mr. R. Bruton asked the Minister for Education when she plans to announce the terms for the Higher Education Grant Scheme for the academic year 1993-1994; and if she will make an early announcement in view of the fact that students must make decisions about their future at this stage.

The Higher Education Grants Scheme is currently under review as part of the process of preparing the 1993 scheme.

I expect that details of the 1993 scheme will be available from the local authorities in the summer.
