155 Mr. Deasy asked the Minister for Education the up to date position in relation to the refusal of the ESF grants for third level courses to persons (details supplied) in County Waterford in view of her reply to a parliamentary question on 10 February 1993; and if these applicants will be allowed to re-apply in the coming year.

My Department has recently conveyed a decision to County Waterford vocational education committee on the reckonable income issue in the cases in question, and has asked that the question of entitlement to grants be reviewed.

I would refer the Deputy to the vocational education committee for any additional information he may require.
